FAQ

This page is meant to answer some of the most frequently asked questions we get from new and old Customers alike.

Q: What versions of Minecraft are supported?

Vape tries to support the Minecraft versions that are commonly supported by popular multiplayer servers where Vape might be used. Due to the complexity of Vape, we do not support all possible versions of Minecraft, but we do try to "stay with the times" and implement support for new versions as they are released, when they become popular enough by the community.

For some versions of Minecraft, Vape is capable of injecting into the vanilla client itself-- meaning you can simply launch Minecraft as you downloaded it from the official website and launch Vape right away. Otherwise, Vape requires the usage of Minecraft Forge (ensure you are downloading the Forge version that corresponds to the game version you want to use).

Vape V4 Support

  • 1.7.10 Forge
  • 1.8.9 Forge + Vanilla
  • 1.12.2 Forge
  • 1.16.5 Forge

Vape Lite Support

  • 1.8 Forge
  • 1.8.9 Forge + Vanilla

  • 1.10.x Forge (any 1.10 version)
  • 1.11.x Forge (any 1.11 version)
  • 1.12.x Forge (any 1.12 version)

3rd Party Client Support

Please note that Vape does not support 3rd party clients or launchers. You may attempt to use one, but we do not guarantee that you will have no issues.

tip

You can enable Multi-Keybinding to bind Modules to combinations of keys (e.g. LCTRL + R, etc).

Q: How do I show what modules I have enabled or other Overlays?

Open the Vape GUI, and click the Overlays Icon in the bottom right of the main panel. Read more here.

Q: When I switch profiles why does nothing enable?

Enable auto-load module states under the Proile frame settings. Profiles will now remember which Modules were active when you last toggled off of it, and re-enable those when switching back to it.

Q: How do I use the Legit Mods?

Switch to the Legit Mod Menu in the Vape GUI.

Q: How do I save my settings?

Your settings are automatically saved for you into your Profile. To disable this behaviour so that your settings are only saved when you do so explicitly, disable auto save.
