Account Locked
If your Vape account is locked, this page explains why and how to request an unlock.
If this is your first time being locked for account sharing, you can unlock your account yourself from your account page. This self-unlock option is only available once and does not apply to locks for payment disputes or other reasons.
Why Accounts Get Locked
Accounts are locked when our security system detects suspicious activity, such as:
- Account sharing - Letting friends or others use your account
- Payment disputes - Chargebacks or disputed transactions
- Terms of service violations - Any other activity that violates our Terms of Service
You can use Vape on multiple devices without issues. However, account sharing is against our Terms of Service and will result in a lock.
Request an Unlock
If this is your first time being locked for sharing, your account will be unlocked. Future locks will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Payment Dispute
If your account was locked due to a payment dispute, you must close the dispute yourself while it's still active. Losing the dispute is not the same as closing it.
When submitting your unlock request, include a screenshot from PayPal (or your payment provider) showing that you closed the case. The screenshot must include the transaction ID.
Request Unlock - Dispute Closed
Preventing Future Locks
To avoid getting locked again:
- Don't share your account credentials with anyone
- Don't file chargebacks or payment disputes (contact support instead)
- Review our Terms of Service
- Secure your account
